If you've ever wondered what a RM6mil (S$1.8mil) renovation looks like, Malaysian content creator Adriana Yeong (@baldgirl23) will let you in on that. 

The TikToker lives in a 9,000 sq ft, seven-room penthouse in a Johor Bahru condominium with her family. Up until now, most people would've only seen her OTT marble-clad living room which features high ceilings.

"The entire internet have been begging me for a house tour ever since I started posting on TikTok. So here you go. Welcome to my humble abode!" she says when Kaypoh Room Tours host Amy Ang drops by for a visit.

Um, "humble" is perhaps not the first word we'd use to describe it. 

Adriana has lived in the penthouse with her family since 2019, and her father was the developer of the condo. Her dad was also the one who decided on the home's opulent gold-and-marble aesthetic after spending a month travelling around Europe.

"He really liked the Italian architecture. The overall house is giving Europe Baroque, so I think that's what my dad was going for," she explains.

But it's not your usual condo penthouse. It's so massive that Adriana's bedroom alone comes with its own walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom.

Adriana reveals that all the other rooms have their own bathrooms too, including her helper's bedroom.

Adriana's followers may already be familiar with another part of the penthouse: its enormous living room.

In fact, the space looks so extravagant in her TikToks that some trolls insist it's a green screen.

During the tour, Amy finally gets to step inside the "TikTok green screen living room".

"Surprise, it's real!" she declares.

But perhaps the funniest part is that Adriana knows exactly how interested people are in her house.

She started creating content during the pandemic and admits that whenever her views aren't doing particularly well, she knows what works.

"When I'm down on views, I just kind of gravitate towards filming my house, like the green screen house. That's what the people want to see. That's what the people always ask for: 'House tour, house tour, house tour.' So I give the people what they want,” she says.

Hey, if we lived in a penthouse that looked like that, we'd probably milk it for views too.

Here's the slightly unexpected part.

Adriana doesn't dream of having something even bigger one day. In fact, she wants quite the opposite.

She's preparing to move out and get her own apartment in Kuala Lumpur, and when Amy asks what she'd do differently with her future home, Adriana immediately replies: "I think my house is, like, way too big to clean."

Maintaining a home this size, she explains, takes a lot of work.

And Dad's gold-and-marble aesthetic? Not really her thing either.

"The gold and the marble is just a little bit too much," she says, describing it as her "very Chinese dad" version of extravagance.

Adriana says she'd prefer something more mid-century modern with warmer wood finishes, though one non-negotiable in her own home would still be marble flooring.

So, smaller home, less gold, but the marble stays.

Guess some habits are harder to downsize?
