Three family members found dead in a house in Port Dickson

PORT DICKSON: Three family members were found dead in a house at Taman Tanjung here, at midnight yesterday.

Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the Port Dickson district police headquarters received a call from Port Dickson Hospital informing them of the deaths of two women and a man, around 12.20am today.

"Initial investigations revealed that two bodies were found in the living room of the house, while one was found on the bed in the bedroom. All three bodies were lying on their backs and fully clothed," he said in a statement today.

The three deceased, aged between 38 and 56 years old, were identified as two siblings and their aunt.

"One of them was known to have a chronic illness, while another was a person with a disability. All the deceased were family members," he added.

Upon further examination of the bodies, no signs of struggle (defensive wounds) or criminal activity were found.

"Additionally, there were no signs of forced entry or missing personal belongings belonging to the deceased," he explained.

As a result, the case has been classified as a sudden death (SDR).

The bodies have been sent to the Forensic Unit of Port Dickson Hospital for further investigation. A post-mortem is scheduled for 9am on Sept 2.
