Titus Low Is Not Holding His Wedding At OnlyCreamery Ice Cream Cafe He Opened As An “Event Space”

Depending on who you ask, some people can claim to know Titus Low inside out. The 23-year-old is the most famous Singaporean adult content creator on OnlyFans — a platform where subscribers eagerly pay $20 a month to see his 1.8m-tall buff bod in the buff. So you could say it was OnlyInevitable when Titus decided to set up his own in Chinatown and provocatively name it OnlyCreamery , where people can lick scoops of his, er, ice cream. It opens today (Sept 6). “My branding was very sexual, so I thought OnlyCream, OnlyCreamery were interesting names. It’s meant to be a joke,” Titus tells 8days.sg with a laugh.

Last October, he got into trouble with the authorities when his OnlyFans account, which he started in April 2021, was anonymously reported. According to local laws, it is illegal to transmit sexually explicit content online, or profit from transmitting them. By the time Titus was charged, he had reportedly earned enough to rent a swanky condominium in Bukit Timah, drive a Lamborghini and spend almost S$15,000 on two purebred cats and a dog.

“This is why I started other businesses,” he says, by way of explaining that he now needed fresh sources of income. Other than selling ice cream, he also launched a line of sex toys marketed on their website as a “true replica of Titus’ actual dick and butt.”

Titus Low makes you scream for ice cream

In person, Titus is devoid of the ostentatious swaggery he displays online. It’s well-known by now that he speaks in an almost inaudible murmur, although he has trained himself to perk up — all twinkly anime eyes and tousled hair — for the camera. Preternaturally calm and earnestly polite, he strikes us as a proper church boy cloaked in the sinful body of a tattooed Thor.It had taken him almost a year to plan for his 45-seat cafe in Temple Street. On the menu are 18 gelato and sorbet flavours (from $5 a scoop, additional $1 for premium flavours), made in partnership with Clementi gelato parlour Hundred Acre Creamery at a central kitchen in Tai Seng.

Titus got to know Hundred Acre’s owner Edmund Ang and his Vietnamese wife Linh Tran after visiting their shop. Which is why OnlyCreamery also serves Viet Drip Coffee ($5) with condensed milk, and an Affogato ($9) with Viet coffee and a scoop of gelato. You can also get ice cream with a Coconut Pandan mochi waffle ($8) or choc Lava Cake ($10) . Beverages include house blend teas by the pot ($6) , soft drinks and Honey Yuzu ($6) .

On why he is opening a cafe

According to Titus, OnlyCreamery cost “a low six-digit figure” to set up together with his business partners. He personally invested a five-digit sum, but declines to reveal a specific number. “It’s not $10,000. It’s about one to two years’ worth of expenses,” he shares, sheepishly adding “for food” when we try to guesstimate expenses by Titus Low standards.

Judging by how he earned in a month through OnlyFans what some office folks earn in a year, Titus certainly knows how to give people what they want. His spacious, Zoomer-friendly cafe is crammed with so many aesthetically-pleasing spots that his customers don’t even have to repeat backgrounds for TikTok.

“I have always wanted to open an ice cream shop where I can invite friends and [hold] events and film videos here. And there’s ice cream, coffee and tea so everyone has something to enjoy,” Titus explains. OnlyCreamery is open until 11pm for late-night dessert seekers. “Once we settle the manpower, we plan to stay open till 2am,” he says. There are plans to open “smaller heartland outlets” in the future.

Surprise engagement

In June this year, Titus also surprised his fans by announcing his engagement to Malaysian influencer Cheryl Chin, 21, a mere six hours after the couple had officially gotten together. In a video he posted on social media, Titus popped the question during a 4am hotpot supper, acting on a spontaneous suggestion by his friend Debbie Soon. (Debbie is married to fellow YouTuber JianHao Tan — they are all pals with Cheryl, who often appears in JianHao’s video skits.)We ask Titus if he intends to hold his upcoming wedding celebration at his cafe, with it being an event space and all. “No, we are taking it slow. I haven’t thought about that right now; I’m not in a rush, just going with the flow,” he replies. According to him, the wedding plans are pushed to “next year when it’s less stressful and I have more free time. Work first.”

The past 10 months had been straining for him, he says, due to his legal woes. He reckons that he will be sentenced by the end of this year. “The greatest punishment is the wait. It has been 10 months. If it’s a short jail term I can just go in and get it over and done with. I’m hoping it’s a fine, or a warning, or even a few weeks of jail,” he shares. Although there are other Singaporeans on the platform, Titus is the first and only local OnlyFans content maker to be charged in court. Considering that his crime was sharing his own nudes with the world, we wonder if he felt that what happened to him was unfair. Titus responds cautiously: “I can’t say it like that. I broke the law, so I would say it’s a learning experience.”

Cheryl’s family is also in the ice cream biz

The engaged couple had previously revealed tentative plans to move to Los Angeles, where Cheryl is pursuing a singing career and has set up a Web 3.0 infrastructure company (Web 3.0 is basically the third-gen version of the internet). “We will see how it goes,” Titus remarks, though he slips into influencer mode when he says: “I will announce more of my life updates on my social media (laughs).”As it turns out, the bubbly Cheryl is familiar with the ins and outs of running an ice cream biz too. She tells us that her parents own a factory in Kuala Lumpur manufacturing ice cream for brands like Wall’s. “I grew up in a freezer — when I was young I would see all the staff walking around [the factory] in Eskimo suits, though I haven’t been back there in almost six years,” she laughs.

As Cheryl and Titus are still full-time content creators (they have set up an eponymous couple’s channel on YouTube), the duo is not based at OnlyCreamery. A team of staff run the daily operations. Titus says: “I will come down as often as I can depending on my schedule!”

Coconut Pandan Waffle, $8 a la carte

On OnlyCreamery’s menu, its waffle is described as “crispy and mochi-like”, which is a fairly accurate description. Although the pandan flavour is too faint, this waffle makes a good base for the house-made ice cream, which is also offered in a cup, pint tub or decent, subtly herby Rosemary Cone ($1.50).

Of the 18 flavours, we particularly enjoy the refreshing Mandarin Orange & Lychee with bits of citrus peel, the Strawberry Cheesecake with biscoff cookie crumbs and the Dark Chocolate Sorbet that’s still rich and sultry despite being dairy-free. Titus’ recommendation, the Rocher with roasted hazelnuts, is also pretty good. But the chio turquoise Ocean Blue , a white choc gelato flavoured with Japanese seaweed and butterfly pea flowers, looks better than it tastes, so consider yourself warned if you’re ordering it for the ’gram.

Affogato, $9 (8 Days Pick!)

Instead of middling, acidic espresso, the Affogato here is spiked with robust Vietnamese drip coffee, which Titus suggests we pair with a creamy scoop of Coconut Sorbet that goes well with the nuanced bitterness of the brew. A properly adult dessert.

Lava Cake, $10

The volcano-shaped Lava Cake had performance anxiety during our visit; the 75 per cent dark chocolate filling did not ooze out on cue. It’s perhaps better to spend your $10 on the more satisfying pandan waffle or affogato.
