A 62-year-old man was arrested for suspected drink-driving after an early morning accident in Toa Payoh on Jul. 24.

The police said they were alerted to the accident at about 3:10am.

They said the car was believed to have self-skidded along Lorong 1 Toa Payoh towards Lorong 6 Toa Payoh.

A white car apparently crashed into the railing in the middle of the road, photos and a video circulating online showed.

It also hit a lamp post.

The driver was taken conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and later arrested for drink-driving, the police said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
