Tom Brady‘s representative is weighing in on one aspect of the rumors about him dating Sofía Vergara, and it seems like a relationship isn’t off the table.

Reps for the 47-year-old former quarterback responded to a Daily Mail report claiming that Brady isn’t interested in dating the 53-year-old actress because she’s “too old.”

“Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this. It is pure fiction,” Brady’s rep told People. Of course, Brady and Vergara’s six-year age gap wouldn’t shock anyone if the gender roles were reversed now, would it?

While the rep didn’t provide any further clarification on the dating rumors, it seems like we can at least say that it’s possible Brady might date the Modern Family alum.

On July 9, reports emerged that Vergara and Brady were starting a “summer romance” after a flirty night on the Ritz-Carlton superyacht cruise on June 29. After the pair were allegedly “googly-eyed over each other,” Brady reportedly “asked to switch seats to sit next to her at dinner,” a source told Page Six.

Sources say Brady then joined Vergara for a trip to Ibiza. Vergara has been on a European tour, posting almost-nude bikini photos and party snaps in Rome, Madrid, and Ibiza. On July 10, she celebrated her birthday in Ibiza, but it’s unclear if Brady was present.

Vergara is recently single after splitting from her ex-boyfriend Justin Saliman earlier this year. She separated from her ex-husband Joe Magniello in July 2023. Since his split from ex-wife Gisele Bündchen in 2022, Brady has been linked on and off to model Irina Shayk.
