A total solar eclipse had millions of people across a heavily populated swath of North America gazing toward the sky on April 8 as the moon completely blocked the sun for 4 ½ minutes in some locales. The next total solar eclipse will occur in 2026 over Greenland, Iceland and Spain.Only those in what is called the “path of totality” will be able to see the total eclipse. While those in Singapore will not be able to see this total eclipse, the next partial solar eclipse over the country will be on July 22, 2028. However, Singapore won’t see a total eclipse for a long time yet, and will only fall under the “path of totality” of this rare celestial event on July 5, 2168.
