A tractor has smashed into two houses, tearing off the front walls and sparking travel chaos with the A51 forced to close.

The tractor, which had been towing a tanker, crashed into the front of two homes on the A51 Vicars Cross Road in Chester. A photo taken at the scene of the crash show major damage to houses close to the road with much of the brickwork seen collapsed at the front.
