Trump’s tariffs: JPMorgan sees tax rate jump to 20%

JPMorgan Wealth Management’s latest research outlines its base case for President Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs.
The firm expects the effective tax rate to rise to 10%-20%, up from 2% earlier this year.
While the tariffs will result in “some deals” between the US and its trade partners, the increase in import duties is still significant but falls within Wall Street’s pre-‘Liberation Day’ estimates.
