Two teenagers arrested for robbing, raping university student in Pagoh

MUAR: A 17-year-old was among two teenagers arrested for allegedly robbing and raping a female student from an institution of higher learning in Pagoh on Monday.
The incident is believed to have taken place about 8.30pm, when the 20-year-old victim was riding pillion on her 23-year-old boyfriend's motorcycle.
As the couple was passing through Jalan Kampung Jawa, Panchor, they were intercepted by two youths on another motorcycle who demanded cash.
The suspects took a handbag containing RM250, but told the couple it was not enough.

One of the suspects then punched the victim's boyfriend in the face, causing him to fall. The suspect then ordered him to leave his girlfriend behind.
The two suspects took the victim to a nearby oil palm plantation where they allegedly raped her.
They later sent her back to campus.
The victim and her boyfriend lodged a police report at the Panchor police station the same day.
Both suspects were arrested shortly after the report was filed. They have been remanded to assist in investigations.
The remand order was issued by magistrate Fatin Dalilah Khalid here today.
The 19-year-old suspect was remanded for five days, while the 17-year-old was remanded for three.
