UNI STUDENT STARTS INTERNSHIP, FINDS OUT HE HAS TO “EARN & FEED HIMSELF” ONE DAY

Optimal salary to live comfortably in SGsociety
As a naive university student, I am completely oblivious to society. Just study and play. But during my internship search I come to realise I will have to earn and feed for myself one day.
My Parents can’t be there to feed me all the time. Hence I am curious how much should one make to live comfortably here in SG.
Here is my definition of a comfortable lifestyle. I am a very simple man. I generally eat at hawker centre/ instant noodle. I don’t plan on getting married since that’s BS.
I also plan on getting the cheapest HDB in SG maybe a 3 room flat at a cheap area once I hit 35. I will only install 1x aircon in my house.
Won’t be buying a car as well since our transport network is the best.
Hence generally how much should I make per month to live relatively comfortably.🥲🥲🥲 I have no ambition so pursuing luxuries like condo/car is out of my scope.
You seem to have good spending habits and values, based on your simple lifestyle, assuming you don’t have any other expensive hobbies and that things won’t change in the future.
Of course, with time, inflation will eat up your savings so don’t just focus on saving what you earn, prolly need to learn how to invest too.
Housing is the main factor, will you be ok with a HDB in the outskirts or are you looking for central region? There is a big difference in price and will be a major factor to consider in terms of your monthly mortgage…

If you are a Graduate, with the 'simple' lifestyle you professed (!?), you will have NO Problem whatsoever! 😉

To survive in Singapore, an individual basically needs to consider budgets on foods, housing, and transportation expenses. Living on the simplest ways of living, a simple meal will cost you S$5.00 per meal.

isn't this what we are all training and learning to be and do unless we have a wealth of inheritance that can ensure we do not need to lift a finger for the rest of our lives in the end
