Replit, a US-based cloud software development platform, said it had stopped working with Anthropic.
CEO Amjad Masad cited cost, performance, and Replit’s OpenAI partnership. He added that OpenAI’s models performed better on Replit’s benchmarks for building apps from scratch.
OpenAI said the partnership would help Replit expand access to software creation with GPT-5.6.
However, a person familiar with the partnership said it was still in place. A late-September Replit post also said Claude models were running in production. Replit had also announced it was available in Claude on June 17, 2026.
Masad said enterprise contracts made up about 15% of Replit’s revenue this year, up from about 2% last year. He added that business-to-business (B2B) revenue accounted for more than 50%.
Replit had announced a self-serve enterprise offering on May 21, 2026.
