Uber is exploring a full takeover of Berlin-based food delivery company Delivery Hero after lifting its stake to 19.5% and securing options for another 5.6%.

The move would help Uber compete with DoorDash outside the US through Delivery Hero’s presence in more than 60 countries, and antitrust approval may be needed before Uber crosses some ownership thresholds.
