Uggah: Sarawak Coastal Road reaches 78 pct completion, Second Trunk Road at 30 pct

KUCHING (March 30): The Sarawak Coastal Road, expected to be fully completed in 2027, has achieved 78 per cent progress, said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
Uggah, who is also Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development, stated that the Second Trunk Road has achieved over 30 per cent progress, with its full completion expected in 2028.
He explained that the 896-kilometre (km) Sarawak Coastal Road connects Kota Samarahan to Miri, while the 225km Second Trunk Road starts from the Batang Samarahan Bridge to the Roban Interchange before connecting to the Pan Borneo Highway.
