Unusual Pets Like Meerkats, Snakes, Monitor Lizards & More Spotted Going On Walks In Taiwan Park
Imagine taking your dog out for a leisurely walk one day, only for Lucky to become besties with a lizard.
That could very well happen at a park in Taiwan.
During his visit to a local park, a Taiwanese influencer (这样不好蛙) spotted a variety of uncommon pets. “The park used to be crowded with little kids in the past. Now, the park is full of fur and reptile babies,” he captioned.
“I love taking walks at parks in Taiwan, because before you notice it, the place turns into a zoo,” he said in his video.
Besides the usual pups and not-so-usual cats taking walks in the park, there was a whole host of unusual pets he saw.
Among them, a meerkat wearing a harness and leash. ‘Timon’, as dubbed by the OP, was standing on its hind legs to take in its crowded surroundings.
The OP also spotted birds being pushed around in cages attached to prams.
There were also snakes slithering freely on the ground, while a monitor lizard with its own fashionable scarf and collar greeted intrigued park-goers.
The OP stopped to take a closer look at a monitor lizard named King, and asked if he can pet the reptile. “He feels like a Prada,” King's owner quipped, and even lifted King up to offer him "a loving hug".
The influencer also included clips taken by other park goers in his video, adding that they have spotted geese, horses, and fishes out on walks. Yes, a man was seen taking his goldfish out on a gander, complete with a tank on wheels.
According to one commenter, some of these pet gatherings take place during the weekends at parks in Taichung City.
Netizens were amused by his experience, and while some were tickled by the unconventional array of pets, others shared pics of tortoises and sugar gliders they, too, spotted at parks.
One netizen also shared this funny (but valid, we suppose) concern: “What if my pet gets eaten by someone else’s pet?”
So, animal lovers, a visit to Taiwan's parks next?

Yes , gov should allow exotic animals as a pet, not the type that are poisonous n animals wildlife that are under extinction n protection , this way more people n kids will become responsible in life rather than addicted to phone n drugs, vape etc, note : there a hardcore prison in the world that each prisoner must adopt a cat to look after, this program has made prisoners mellow down n more responsible when they out of prison
