Ever since rumors of a feud between the Beckham family began swirling earlier this year, sources have been pointing to what started it all. While some have attributed the tensions to Nicola Peltz Beckham simply standing up to David and Victoria Beckham on behalf of her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, the latest source is reporting that it all worsened because of Victoria herself.

According to a new source on People, a telling moment happened between Victoria and Nicola at her 2022 wedding to Brooklyn in Palm Springs. Per the source, the moment took place when singer Marc Anthony, who’s a longtime friend of Posh and the former footballer, took the stage to sing for the couple’s first dance.

“Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up…Victoria Beckham!'” the source said.

Of course, guests and we’re guessing Brooklyn himself were expecting the bride to be called, not Victoria, the mother of the groom. And, as it turns out, Victoria went up to the stage and started dancing with Brooklyn.

“[Nicola] felt that Victoria ruined her wedding, and couldn’t understand why,” the source said.

Understandably, the room was in shock when it happened. “It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock,” a second source added. “You could hear a pin drop.”

As Victoria and Brooklyn danced, Nicola started crying. “It wasn’t appropriate,” the source said, “Nicola ran from the room crying.”

Most of all, it seems Nicola suspects that it was all a plan from Victoria. “Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola,” the insider said. “What she couldn’t understand was why.”

Of course, this story only continues to show that Victoria and her daughter-in-law haven’t exactly gotten along swimmingly in the past few years. Prior to this, sources reported that tensions between them started because Nicola is the first of Brooklyn’s partners tostand up for himagainst his parents. “She’s the first romantic partner of his to put her foot down, which they don’t like,” TMZ reported, adding that the source called David and Victoria “toxic” and “narcissistic.”

If this story from their wedding is true, it seems like these sources were spot-on.
