A tragic incident occurred on April 26, 2024, when the body of 33-year-old Vietnamese woman Dang Hoang Ly Na was found floating in the Singapore River near the Clarke Quay area. Shin Min Daily News reported that Ms. Dang had only been in Singapore for less than a week, working at a night entertainment outlet to support her family back in her small village.
