Viola Davis needs no help making the most of her big day.

The Oscar winner debuted a striking hair transformation as she rang in her 60th birthday with a getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Aug. 11.

To mark the occasion, the Woman King actress flaunted her natural curls, which were dyed to a rich red hue. She paired the vibrant hairdo with a complementary orange one-piece bathing suit and accessorized the beachy look with a pair of gold hoop earrings.

While Viola appeared to take a laidback approach to her milestone celebration, she previously detailed a much less relaxing vacation where she pushed herself out of her comfort zone by jumping out of a plane—all in the name of impressing her daughter Genesis, 15, whom she shares with husband Julius Tennon.

“I did it because we were on a big vacation and my nanny came, Molly,” Viola recalled during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers in April. “Beautiful girl, and Molly jumped out of the plane and my daughter said, ‘Molly is so brave. Molly jumped out of the plane. And I love Molly.’ And I was like, ‘F--k Molly. Mama can jump out of the plane.’”

Aside from her daredevil escapades, the EGOT recipient also recently reflected on the significance of her achievements as she enters a new decade.

“My purpose is not just what I do, it's what happens to people when I do what I do,” she told People in an interview published Aug. 8. “Even as a mom and a wife, it's all coming from the same source. I want my life to mean something.”

And in order to stay grounded, Viola said she often turns to her inner child, whom she described as “a great GPS” despite having an often-challenging upbringing.

“I always saw her as damaged, but she wasn't,” Viola admitted. “She had a lot of beautiful qualities in her. I always want to honor her.”

Nearly one year after confirming romance rumors, the couple had a PDA-filled outing on a yacht in St Tropez. The Friends alum and pals Jason Bateman, Amanda Anka and Amy Schumer left the US for the beaches of Mallorca, on July 12, where they were joined by Aniston’s rumored boyfriend, Jim Curtis. 

The Materialists actor and her long-time friend, Kate Hudson, enjoyed some time away on a cruise off the coast of Ibiza, Spain, on July 1 following her breakup with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.  

Princess Lillibet Diana’s 4th birthday called for a magical family trip to Disneyland, California. Indeed, the Suits alum and Prince Harry—who also share son Prince Archie—explored the theme park, sharing photos of themselves enjoying Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Space Mountain.

What’s more, the celebrations also featured a Little Mermaid birthday cake and a riverboat adventure with Meghan captioning the moments in a July 6 Instagram post, “Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy.”

A week after their breakup was confirmed, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor and “Roar” singer reunited on July 9 for a family vacation on a yacht off the Amalfi coast with their daughter Daisy Dove and Orlando’s son, Flynn, who he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

The duo—who share son, Zane—escaped the January cold for tropical weather at the Sandals Dunn’s River resort in Ocho Rios, Jamacia. 

Surrounded by the clear waters, the engaged couple posed adorably with their arms wrapped around each other. “Never better. The reality star spent the summer exploring the beaches of St Tropez, France, with Timotheé Chalamet. “Isabel Marant made this little outfit,” she said in a July 6 Instagram video. “When in France!”

Earlier this year Kylie—who shares kids Stormi and Aire with ex Travis Scott—shared a glimpse into her tropical vacation in a March 24 Instagram post featuring bikini selfies and some exciting excursions, including an ATV ride. 

The couple enjoyed the off season with a trip to West Palm Beach, Florida where they were spotted enjoying dinner in a cozy restaurant booth. The “Guilty as Sin” singer sported an off-shoulder dress while the tight end opted for a black and white button down and baseball cap. 

The news comes after their friend and basketball star Caitlin Clark confirmed to USA Today that the couple was “in vacation mode.” 

Indeed, the Florida trip isn’t their only getaway. In fact, eagle eyed fans speculated that Travis’s shirt on the July 9 New Heights podcast could be a souvenir from the pair’s trip to Montana. Swifties were quick to point out that the shirt featured the logo of Yellowstone Club, a ski and golf resort in Montana. 

The actress and her fantastic four family—including daughters Honor, Haven, and son Hayes who she shares with ex Cash Warren—vacationed to Hawaii for a tropical spring break. She shared photos of the sweet moments with her kids, including a video of her kissing Hayes in an April 4 Instagram post, with a simple caption, “Vacay vibes.” 

Another set of photos, posted a day prior, featured some inspirational quotes and snaps of her friends with Jessica writing, “Spring Break with mi gente.”

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star and fiancé Danny Fujikawa turned their couple’s trip to Greece into a family affair they were joined by their daughter Rani, her son Bingham, whom she shares with ex Matt Belamy, and brothers Wyatt Russell and Oliver Hudson. 

“Family summer,” she captioned the July 3 post. “We love you Greece.”

But the fun didn’t end there as Kate later accompanied Dakota Johnson on a cruise off the coast of Ibiza, Spain. She documented the adventure in a July 12 Instagram post, with a simple caption, “Girl Trip.” 

Just days after Ben’s quarterfinals loss at Wimbledon, Trinity shared glimpses of the couple’s romantic getaway to the European coast in a July 14 Instagram post, including a pic of the pair kissing by the water and footage of her soccer training. 

“Not the summer that I had in mind but still loved every moment,” the USWNT player—who is currently out due to an injury—wrote. “Can’t wait to be back on the field.”
