On July 1, Volvo Cars Taiwan announced that their Chief Executive Officer, Chen Lizhe had retired. Taking over the reins as the newly-appointed CEO is 37-year-old Director of Data Analysis Lin Yukai.

While Yukai, who joined the Volvo team overseeing the Greater China region in 2021, boasts an impressive portfolio, he has commanded the attention of the internet overnight all thanks to his good looks.

Yukai sparked discussion the moment his headshots were posted online, leaving many dazzled by his handsome-ness.

Some netizens said he's as attractive as a celebrity, while others said he resembles Taiwanese actor James Wen.

So popular is Yukai now that people are practically drooling over him on social media. “He can be the leading actor in a drama about a domineering CEO,” reads one thirsty comments. Now, that’s what we call a fantasy.

Others have joked that Volvo will soon be getting plenty of new female customers. That might very well be the reality given how a number of netizens have announced they are now "tempted to buy a Volvo”.

Some have even boldly asked: “Does the CEO need a wife?”

“Many people now want to be Mrs Lin, and this is regardless of whether they are male or female,” quipped one netizen.

According to Volvo Car Taiwan’s announcement, Yukai previously held positions at multinational companies where he oversaw market analysis and business development.

Yukai also expressed his thanks to his predecessor for laying the strong foundation for the brand’s development in Taiwan, and promised to take on the responsibility with his experience in data analysis to meet customers with new and innovative services.

Guess you could say this capable, young, and handsome CEO has driven himself right into people's hearts.
