I read some comments here about dating someone with your own SES and I can relate to it. Makes me wonder whether I should dump my boyfriend because of our difference in SES level.

My bf and I are in our late twenties. He works in trading and draws a nice amount of salary, roughly 6x of mine. However he is stingy af.

Our dates are mostly just walking around parks, eating at food court (sometimes restaurants), and he doesn’t get me expensive gifts at all.

Yesterday was Vday and he brought me to Swensen’s while my friends were eating at high class places. He also doesn’t dress up, often wear flip flops and doesn’t drive a car.

He prefers to Grab because it’s cheaper. Me on the other hand, I like to hang out with my girlfriends at pubs, fine dining, yoga classes and go for spa.

I don’t have too much money so I only change my Chanel bags once a year. He often says my lifestyle is too extravagant, but life is about enjoying right?

My bf brought up the topic about marriage and it made me really wonder whether I should spend the rest of my life with him.

Given his income and savings he can easily buy a property along Bukit Timah road but he wants to buy a 1br small condo in Bugis which only costs 1m+. That made me so mad!!! It’s evident to me that he doesn’t know how to use his money to enjoy life.

I really don’t want to live like a poor person for the rest of my life. Should I break up with him? Given my appearance and qualities I should be able to find someone who is as rich but is willing to spend more on me.
