The track also made noise due to its line-in-the-sand proclamation by Drake, who silenced any questions over his speculated sneaker deal with one simple line: "checks over stripes, that's what I like." The lyric made it clear Drake's rumored move to Adidas wasn't going forward as planned, backed up Scott's previous "Nike boys, we don't do Three Stripes" tagline, and ended up drawing the ire of one Kanye West.
