The Indigenous (mewatch & Channel 8, June 12, 8pm)
This week, Chen Ning is in Ninh Thuan, south-central Vietnam. There, she explores the unique world of the Cham Brahims, and partake in their grandest traditional festival of the year, Mbang Kate, a three-day event celebrating the Cham people’s ancestors, heroes and kings.

Disney’s Snow White (Disney+, June 11)
Bad press aside, is Disney’s live-action version of the 1937 animated classic any good? (Sorry, the CG dwarfs are just too creepy.) Directed by Marc Webb ((500) Days of Summer), the movie stars Rachel Zegler as the title character and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen. Perfectly cast or painfully miscast? Discuss.

FUBAR, Season 2 (Netflix, June 12)
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro return for more adventures as father-and-daughter CIA agents Luke and Emma Brunner. This time, daddy’s ex-girlfriend, German terrorist Greta Nelso (Carrie-Anne Moss) is back to raise hell. Ex-girlfriends....tsk, tsk, tsk.

Asuko Okatsuka: Father (Disney+, June 13)
The Taiwanese-American comedian’s second stand-up special — the first, The Intruder, came outon HBO three years ago — was recorded at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre last September. Per the logline: “Fans call her ‘Mother,’ but Atsuko is ‘Father’ — thriving professionally yet clueless about basics. A seven-year laundry hiatus and learning that marriage licenses precede weddings are just some hilariously relatable discoveries she shares in her special.”

Our Movie (Disney+, June 13)
Warning: Tearjerker ahoy! This 12-part K-drama stars Namkoong Min as a filmmaker who casts a terminally ill aspiring actress (Vincenzo’s Jeon Yeon-been) in his latest project. Per the official synopsis: “As they struggle to complete the film, the two form an unexpected bond, growing closer and working through past traumas in this moving story of love and friendship.”

Echo Valley (Apple TV+, June 13)
Thriller starring Oscar-winner Julianne Moore as Kate, a mother struggling to make peace with her troubled daughter Claire (Sydney Sweeney) who arrives at her doorstep unannounced — covered in someone else’s blood. Oh dear. As the truth slowly surfaces, how far would Kate go to protect Claire?

Dirty Angels (Max, June 14)
Casino Royale director Martin Campbell and that movie’s star Eva Green reunite on this actioner about an all-female commando unit (led by Green) who disguise themselves as relief workers to rescue hostages in Afghanistan. Ruby Rose and Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) co-star.
