Conan O’Brien Must Go, Season 2 (Max, June 19)

Another travelogue. But this one has something Somebody Feed Phil doesn’t? A effing Emmy! This season, O’Brien meets (or is it surprises?) fans of his podcasts in Spain, New Zealand and Austria. He’s joined by Javier Bardem in Spain and Taiki Waititi in New Zealand. Hey, Conan, ever thought of making a pit stop here (and Kumar can be your guide)? Hey, STB, make it happen. Pssst, just one request: go easy on the Oriental Riff (see Crazy Rich Asians, Hacks), can?

A Minecraft Movie (Max, June 20)

If you decided to give this a miss at the cinemas (because you were worried that hardcore fans might ruin your day like they did in the US and UK), then good news. You can watch it in the safety of your own home. The live-action adaptation of the popular video sandbox Minecraft game follows four misfits (Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Hansen) who gets trapped into the Overworld. To escape, they turn to an expert crafter named Steve (Jack Black).

K-Pop Demon Hunters (Netflix, June 20)

What happens when you mix K-pop (it’s in the title, duh), Japanese anime and Buffy the Vampire Slayer? You have K-pop Demon Hunters which follows three K-pop superstars (voiced by Arden Cho, May Hong and Zoey) who rid the world of supernatural scum when they aren’t touring. Their nemesis? A boy band of demons in disguise. But of course.

The Brutalist (Max, June 21)

Adrien Brody took home his second Best Actor Oscar as a Hungarian Jewish architect who flees to the US after surviving the Holocaust. There, he’s given a second chance at life by a wealthy benefactor (Guy Pearce). The immigrant epic (nearly four hours long!) also won Oscars for its cinematography and score.
