着名通讯软体WhatsApp最近被点出一个验证步骤漏洞，即只需某人的电话号码就可遥距将该人有关帐号永久“停用”，过程不用任何程序骇客技术，现已引发网友热议。

对此，WhatsApp官方回应指在设定双重认证时，可加入电邮地址以应对相关问题。

日前有资讯媒体引用《福布斯Forbes》报道，指出WhatsApp出现多个严重漏洞，只要取得用户的电话号码，就可远距离将他人帐号永久停用，由于操作简单更不需要黑客技术， 对全球 Whatsapp用户构成严重要胁。

这是因为，WhatsApp的漏洞在于12小时内验证手机短讯的发送次数有限，攻击者可以不停输入他人WhatsApp电话号码直至短讯无法再发送，在多个12小时后Whatsapp最终会出现程序错误（bug），令用户永久无法再收到验证短讯，即使有设置双重验证，亦无法阻止这项攻击。

攻击者及后再透过电邮向whatsapp提供他人的电话号码，令帐号从手机登出。

最后受害者即使输入验证手机短讯，倒数会一直卡在负1秒，永久无法作验证登入该号码的Whatsapp。
