While some people use ChatGPT to help write school essays or plan their holiday itineraries, others use it to get answers to very creative hypothetical questions. 

TikTok user m4rkmetchi recently had the brilliant idea of asking the AI chatbot where members of BTS would stay if they were Singaporean.

The results were amusing, and according to netizens, also super accurate. 

According to ChatGPT, the group’s 30-year-old leader, RM, would live in Tiong Bahru ‘cos he’s an “artsy intellectual”. He would love being around indie bookstores, cafes, and the culturally significant art deco flats. “Probably feeds the cats in the void deck,” they added about RM, who is known to be an animal lover. 

Jin, 32, would live in Bukit Timah as he gives off “chaebol energy”. Chaebol basically refers to a large, family-owned, wealthy business empire. Though he’s labelled “posh”, ChatGPT also believes he would frequent Adam Road Food Centre. Perhaps Jin would enjoy a hearty bowl of prawn noodles every now and then?

Suga, 32, with his “cool, minimalist, and quietly rich” vibe, would live in a “sleek condo” in Tanjong Pagar with a view of the port, which we’re guessing refers to Keppel Terminal. “He likes his peace but needs the city nearby,” wrote ChatGPT, so CBD it is, then?

31-year-old J-Hope, would live in Holland Village as he fits the “fashionable, friendly, and full of good energy" vibes there. Known for his friendly demeanor, it’s also assumed that he would be super popular in the neighbourhood, and “even the uncles at the kopitiam” will be acquainted with him. 

It looks like V, 29, would own the most expensive house among the members. ChatGPT thinks he would live in Dempsey Hill or Sentosa Cove as “he dresses like he’s attending a Gucci runway but still takes photos of kopi peng”. 

Then we have vocalist Jimin, 29, whom ChatGPT says would live in Tanjong Rhu or Katong as he has the vibe of a sweet and classy East Coast boy. East side best side? His aesthetic is said to “fit Katong’s Peranakan charm” or the “bougie, [slightly] quiet” vibes of Tanjong Rhu. 

The youngest member Jungkook, 27, is another Eastie and is expected to live in Tampines or Punggol. ChatGPT thinks Jungkook would enjoy his morning jogs, longboard rides, and gym sessions around Punggol Waterway, or shopping at Tampines mall’s Decathlon. Imagine shopping for a new yoga mat, and seeing Jungkook looking for this viral running top. 

Netizens loved the results, with many agreeing that ChatGPT was on point.
