Lady Leshurr is set to showcase her skating skills on Dancing On Ice 2021, as one of 12 new celebrities taking to the rink when the series kicks off on Sunday night.

The musician will be partnering Brendyn Hadfield on the show as she makes her bid for this year’s series title.

But just who is Lady Leshurr, what’s her real name and what songs is she best known for?

Who is Lady Leshurr?

Lady Leshurr – real name Melesha Katrina O’Garro – is a comedian and rapper from Solihul.

She’s best known for her Queen Speech series of freestyles, the fourth of which became popular in 2016.

In that same year, she won the Mobo Award, celebrating excellence in black music, for best femal act.

Three years later, she was awarded the gong for best rap/grime act at the Birmingham Music Awards.

Leshurr has named Ashley Walters, Eminem, Ms. Dynamite, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott and Lil Wayne as her primary influences.

In June, Leshurr defended appearing in an Olay advert after trolls accused her of ‘losing her integrity’.
