A fire was lit when Singaporean golfer Hiroshi Tai picked up a golf club for the first time. He was four, and the setting was the Bukit range of the Singapore Island Country Club. His parents were behind the initiative, but it impacted Tai’s impressionable mind in a way that golf became an integral part of his DNA, and with it was born the burning desire to keep stepping up all the time as he made his way from the junior to amateur ranks. And now, Hiroshi Tai has become the first golfer from Singapore to qualify and compete at the Masters.
