Stephen Baldwin is saluting his son-in-law Justin Bieber.

The Usual Suspects star—who is dad to Justin’s wife Hailey Bieber—complimented the “Somebody to Love” singer as well as his daughter Alaia Baldwin Aronow’s husband Andrew Aronow, calling them welcome additions to his family.

In an interview on the June 25 episode of The Adam Carolla Show, Stephen declared, “I'm blessed that my two daughters married two great guys.”

The 59-year-old—who married wife Kennya Baldwin in 1990—didn’t just praise his daughters’ taste in men. He also highlighted both of his daughters’ independence and strong business sense, noting that he never felt a “need to be involved” in their careers.

“I let my kids do what they're doing,” he explained, “and if they want to throw a boomerang at me, I'll call them back.”

Stephen’s approach to parenting certainly paid off for Hailey, 28, whose Rhode Skin cosmetics company was recently sold to e.l.f. Beauty in a deal valued at a whopping $1 billion.

“The cool part of it is she's super smart in business,” he added. “Succeeded as a model prior to everything she’s doing now. But the cool part was she actually had an offer to do something pretty big and cool in cosmetics a couple years ago and didn't.”

Instead, Stephen said Hailey—who shares son Jack Blues Bieber, 10 months, with Justin—opted to immerse herself in the creation of her brand rather than “put her name on it,” and the decision clearly paid off.

“The reason it's succeeding is people are responding to it,” he noted. “It actually works as hydration and all of that.”

Besides Hailey’s entrepreneurial instincts, Stephen has also commended her as a partner to Justin throughout their six-year marriage.

“I am just glad he connected with a great gal to help him survive,” he told the Daily Mail in September. “Their happiness and their wellbeing and their health is more obviously now better than ever.”
