Why The Cast Of Mediacorp's New Microdrama May Look Familiar
Imagine breaking up with your spouse, only to realise you still have to live together because your BTO hasn't fulfilled its Minimum Occupation Period (MOP).
That's the premise of Mediacorp's new 60-episode micro drama Living With My Ex, starring Raynold Tan, Regene Lim, Alexander Yue and Kelly Wong.
This is not the fresh-faced cast's first foray in to entertainment. And if you've started watching and found yourself thinking they look familiar but can't quite place them, here's where you might have seen them before.
The former child actress has starred in Ch8 dramas including Kinship 2 and Breakout, and has also won the Best Young Talent Award for three consecutive years (2009, 2010, and 2011) at the Star Awards.
Regene later stepped away from full-time acting to focus on her studies, eventually graduating from NTU's Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information before returning to acting.
More recently, viewers may have spotted her in My Guardian Angels and Dark Angel.
The Singaporean actor and model gained a regional following after starring in the Filipino series The Day I Loved You (2023).
Originally discovered through his TikTok live streams, he transitioned into professional acting while completing his undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore majoring in psychology, graduating in 2023.
And we will probably see more of him in the coming months.
In August 2026, local director Jack Neo announced that Raynold had been cast as the primary male lead Ah Boys to Firefighters, which is slated for a Chinese New Year 2027 theatrical release.
If you're a regular viewer of Ch5 dramas, you'd probably recognise the Melbourne-raised actor, model and host. He moved to Singapore to pursue entertainment full-time and has since appeared in a number of local productions.
Most notably, he was in Mediacorp's long-running English drama Kin, and also also appeared in Titoudao and Khloe.
And with his modelling and hosting work on top of that, there's a decent chance you've seen Alexander in various ads and events as well.
If you spent any amount of time watching Singapore comedy videos on YouTube, there's a good chance you'd know her from Wah!Banana.
Kelly joined the local comedy channel in 2018 and became one of its familiar faces, appearing in its sketches and shorts.
She's also an actress, singer and content creator outside of her Wah!Banana work.
