When doing some last-minute shopping before a flight, it’s understandable that people may be rushing around and not have time to check the items they’ve bought.

But take this as a cautionary tale to make sure you do.

Recently, Taiwanese star Jelly Yang shared on Instagram that she had stopped by Adidas to get a pair of sneakers before heading to the airport in South Korea.

“The staff opened the box for me to check. I made sure the sizes were correct, and they wrapped everything back up. I was almost on my way to the airport already,” she wrote.

The 42-year-old, however, decided she didn’t want to keep the shoebox as it would take up too much space in her luggage.

“I took the shoes out and, I don’t know why, suddenly felt like I should take them out of the wrapping,” she said.

And luckily she did.

Upon checking the shoes, Jelly realised that something was completely off — the staff had apparently given her two shoes for the same foot.

“I asked the staff to come and take a look, and he got a shock too,” she said.

“Thankfully, I suddenly felt like opening them. Otherwise, how am I going to wear these back in Taiwan? I can't file a complaint either. This is ridiculous.”
