Japan's relations with China have plunged to their lowest in years after a dispute triggered by Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's remarks this month about Taiwan, the democratically-governed island that China claims as its own territory.Sanae Takaichi, Japan’s new prime minister said that an attack on Taiwan could be deemed as a threat to Japan’s survival and could trigger a military response from Japan. Beijing hit back, calling her remarks, “blatant interference in China’s internal affairs”.China’s authorities are also urging its citizens not to travel to Japan.
