Woman Arrested For Loanshark Harassment

The Police have arrested a 37-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in a case of loanshark harassment.
On 05 August 2025 at about 10.34pm, the Police were alerted to a case of loanshark harassment at a residential unit along Bukit Batok East Avenue 3, where the main gate and door of the unit were splashed with red paint. A debtor’s note was also left outside the unit.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the woman and arrested her on 6 August 2025. The paint and debtor’s note were seized as case exhibits. The woman is also believed to be involved in other similar cases of loanshark harassment islandwide.
The woman will be charged in court on 7 August 2025 under the Moneylenders Act 2008. For first-time offenders, the offence of loanshark harassment carries a fine between $5,000 and $50,000, with imprisonment of up to five years, and caning of up to six strokes.
The Police have zero tolerance against loanshark harassment activities. Those who deliberately vandalise properties, cause annoyance or disrupt public safety, peace and security, will be dealt with severely in accordance with the law.
Members of the public are advised to stay away from loansharks and not to work with or assist them in any way. The public can call '999' if they suspect or know of anyone who could be involved in loansharking activities.

they should have no choice. High possibility tio force to do in return for skip or waive payment. many should know the consequences if tio liak but still do it. so my guess should be right. [COOL][COOL][COOL]
