Woman fined for operating illegal massage parlours in Orchard Towers, one with 'special services'

SINGAPORE: A woman who ran at least three unlicensed massage parlours in Orchard Towers, including one which offered "special services", was fined S$1,000 on Tuesday (Jun 18).
Ng Mui Lan, 56, operated three shops – named Rose Spa, Queen Star Beauty and SE Beauty Studio – that offered illegal massage services on the second and fourth floor of Orchard Towers.

wah the fine is truly a laughable joke,! what kind of system and law is this, the gov and those so called elite and smart peoples think these will deter crime and wrongdoing ? like that anyone can do it and get off for only 1k fine and if business good just pay the additional pathetic 50 fine per day huh... what a joke man. furthermore this another loophole others can exploit huh... these had somewhat and somehow directly and or indirectly encourage those Pimps to go into this act to be this kind of business owner and operator lo. Cos the punishment and penalties is way much much higher as compared to the article mentions on the ruling verdict . And what this woman do is no different from what Pimps do, after all both are taking a cut off and making a living outta those working lady .
