A motorist that careered off the side of the road in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, was rescued after using The What3Words app to alert emergency services to her location

A woman who was stranded in an overturned car was rescued by emergency services thanks to a lifesaving location app.

The motorist had no idea where she was and couldn't get out of the vehicle when she crashed in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, on Friday.
