Firefighters have rushed to the scene of an "explosion" as a shocking cloud of black smoke was seen near an industrial estate. Fire services confirmed they received a large number of worried calls in relation to a raging blaze in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services said they received a call at 2.03pm this afternoon and warned locals around the Tranker Lane area to avoid the scene and urged residents to shut their doors and windows. The service confirmed they were desperately working to put out a blaze after containers, at what appears to be an industrial site, were on fire.
