IPOH (Jan 30): Perak is seeking two thermal scanners in the wake of the Novel Coronavirus outbreak in China.

State Health, Consumer Affairs, Community, National Integration and Human Resource Committee chairman A. Sivanesan said the scanners were necessary, as the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS) here and the Pengkalan Hulu entry point at the Thai border did not have them.

He said an application for the two thermal scanners was forwarded to the State Security Council on Jan 24.
