Ms. Rachel is loving on her little one off-screen.
The children's YouTube personality (real name Rachel Griffin Accurso) recently shared a happy update on her new baby Susannah, 3 months.
In a joint interview with her husband, composer Aron Accurso—with whom she also shares son Thomas, 7—on May 31, Rachel told TODAY.com, "She's such a smiley, happy baby."
In the rare behind-the-scenes peek into their personal lives, Rachel also revealed how Susannah is fully benefitting from her special talents.
"I had [Susannah] in front of me, and I was like, 'I want to sing her a song. Hmm, what should I sing?' And then I was like, 'Wait, this is my area,'" Rachel, 42, said. "I've been doing full episodes for her, just as myself!"
As for how the rest of the family is faring, Rachel added that Thomas is doing a great job in his new role as a big brother as well.
"Thomas is even changing diapers sometimes—except for no poopy ones," she continued. "He's given her a bottle, he's burped her. He's just the sweetest with her."
Rachel announced the birth of her second child on April 8, sharing on Instagram that she welcomed the baby via surrogate.
"We welcomed sweet baby Susannah into the world! We are so in love!" she captioned the sweet selfie. "Sometimes timing isn’t what you plan and the road to get there is bumpier than you expect, but when you hold your little ones you know… I’m meant to be your mama."She added, "I was unable to carry this pregnancy for medical reasons and we were blessed to have a surrogate who gave us the most precious gift possible. We are now all family forever."
Just weeks prior, Rachel had addressed her unannounced break from social media, after curious fans were commenting on her posts asking why she had not posted to her YouTube channel—which has over 15 million subscribers—since January.
At the time, she responded to a fan in the comment section of her March 19 post with vague reasoning for her absence, sharing, "We've had some family things to attend to."
Since sharing the happy news, Rachel has delved into her inspiration for her baby girl's name.
“She’s named after my incredible mama!” Rachel told Today on April 30. “My mom raised us with so much unconditional love and joy. She raised my sister and I as a single mom. I’ve always been in awe of her strength. She even built us an epic tree house all [by] herself!”
