Yu Jing smashes national record for debut bronze
BANGKOK: Tong Yu Jing pulled off a surprise in his debut SEA Games outing by smashing the men’s 50m freestyle national record en route to a bronze at Huamak Aquatic Centre tonight.
The 19-year-old Penang boy clocked an impressive 22.48s to clinch bronze behind Singaporeans Mikkel Lee (21.92s) and Tzen Teong Wei (22.42s).
