KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor deputy secretary (management) Mohamad Zahri Samingon has been appointed the new Petaling Jaya mayor, effective Feb 1.

Zahri received his appointment letter today from State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim.

He takes over from Mohamad Azhan Md Amir, whose tenure ended in October last year. Deputy Mayor Aznan Hassan has been leading the Petaling Jaya City Council since then.
