A 12-year-old football fan has joined the ranks of Mensa after scoring the maximum in an IQ test.

Rory Bidwell, from Great Torrington, Devon, aced the Cattell III B test with 162, the top score for children.

This puts him in the top 2% of the population for intelligence and above what is believed to be a score of 160 for physicist Albert Einstein.
