The recent EastEnders casting news has got us all excited and soon, new faces Felix (Matthew Morrison) and Finlay (Ashley Byam) make their arrivals to Albert Square.

Felix and Finlay are Mitch’s (Roger Griffiths) nephews, and rush to Walford after learning their dad Avery (Omar Lye-Fook) has collapsed.

Eldest of the brothers is Finlay, who might be the complete opposite to Felix (who also has an amazing drag persona called Tara Misu), but still supports and loves his sibling dearly.

As we learn about these newcomers, viewers will soon discover Finlay isn’t actually Avery’s biological son, not that it bothers him, as Ashley Byam explains:

‘I recently filmed a scene where he explains that he doesn’t bother with all “half this”, “step that”, or “once removed this” – as far as he’s concerned family is family. He genuinely believes that it doesn’t matter whether you’re blood related or not, if he sees you as his family you’re his family.’
