Cuterebra Removal From Inside A Small Kitten's Neck (Part 375)

Strange incident·2023-04-11 00:41

This little guy was just a recipient of a huge Cuterebra that layed eggs on the kitten where they hatched, releasing maggots that then crawl into the skin. Dr Wellert here in Northfield Veterinary Hospital removed the cuterebra and gave the kitten antibiotics. Kitty will be feeling better in no time. So cats are accidental hosts of Cuterebra. They are most commonly infected when they are hunting rodents or some bunnies and encounter the Cuterebra near the entryway to a rodent’s burrow. For more of Northfield Veterinary Hospital, and many more removals, check them out here:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NorthfieldVeterinaryNote: All Videos Here On This Channel Have Been Allowed To Be Uploaded On It(except Commentary, it's Original And Added By Me With My Own Voice)Love Animals?
