Prisoner: Cell Block H is now available to stream from the beginning and we couldn’t be any more excited if we tried.
The long-running Australian soap, which followed the lives of a group of prisoners, staff and officers at the Wentworth detention centre, initially aired between 1979 and 1987.
While popular in Aus, the show was huge success with international audiences including the US and the UK and has since garnered a cult following, with many fans longing for the opportunity to see if from the start.
Much like STV Player did with Brookside, which has become one of the streaming service’s most popular ever shows, Channel 5 has now acquired the rights to Prisoner: Cell Block H, with episodes starting to drop from the beginning on its own service My5.
At the time of writing, the first 10 outings of the popular soap are available to stream, with more expected to drop in the future if it proves successful enough for the streamer.
