Tragic Accident in New York: Singaporean Woman Falls 30 Meters from Cliff at Minnewaska State Park

The fear of heights is often dismissed until a tragic incident like this happens, reminding us of the very real dangers associated with it.

In a heart-wrenching incident, a 39-year-old Singaporean woman, Madam Nur Aisyah, tragically fell off a 30m cliff at Minnewaska State Park Preserve in New York.

This occurred on 22 December, just days before Christmas.

Madam Nur Aisyah, along with her husband Mr Abdul Rauf Mohd Said, had travelled to the US. The couple, co-founders of Noble Sky International, a real estate investment firm, were said to be on one of their routine work trips.

On that fateful day, the couple was admiring the scenery in Minnewaska State Park Preserve when Madam Nur Aisyah slipped and fell.

In a matter of seconds, Mr Abdul Rauf, in a desperate attempt to save her, rushed forward but also slipped, though he managed not to fall off the cliff.

Reeling from the shock, Mr Abdul Rauf recounted the tragedy on his Facebook, expressing his profound sorrow and wishing it had been him who fell, not his wife.
