Carousell fined S$58,000 over data leaks that affected more than 2.6 million users

SINGAPORE: E-commerce platform Carousell has been fined S$58,000 (US$43,200) over two separate data breaches, one of which led to at least 2.6 million customers’ data being put up for sale on an online forum.
In the other incident, the personal data of more than 44,000 users across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan and the Philippines was exposed.
