SINGAPORE - Parts of an external structure from a building in the Bartley area came crashing down onto the street below on March 11, narrowly missing an employee from a store on the ground floor.

Images of the scene show debris strewn across the road near Inspace at 24 New Industrial Road.

The debris consisted of metal beams measuring nearly 2m or more in length that appeared to have broken off from a section of the upper floors of the building facade.

Footage seen by ST from a ceiling camera inside the employee’s office show him just outside the unit as a thunderous crash is heard. The employee jumps backwards towards his office door as a piece of debris falls to the ground where he was standing.
