KUCHING: A council of experts on ‘Ngepan Iban’ (Iban traditional costume for women) will be set up to protect its authenticity, following instances of adulterated versions being presented in events in and outside the country.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah, said the Iban community have been horrified too when the ‘sirat’ or loin cloth was presented as part of the Ngepan by models at such events and functions.
