In season two of Netflix’s Sex Education, we finally get to meet Maeve Wiley’s mother – and actor Emma Mackey revealed she almost cried when she found out the character would be played by Anne-Marie Duff.

Speaking ahead of the long-awaited release of the second season, Emma told Metro.co.uk how it felt to have the Shameless star playing her mum in the series.
