Recently, I found myself thinking – as I so often do – of Sex and the City. More specifically, I was reminded of the show’s third-to-last episode, “Splat!”, in which Kristen Johnston plays a washed-up party girl by the name of Lexi Featherston, who offers an impromptu, drunken, and unasked-for eulogy for New York (at a fictional Vogue editor’s party, as chance would have it).
