However, her reputation has taken quite a hit lately thanks to a juicy new exposé that had netizens accusing her of being a diva.

Uh-oh. What happened?

Last Friday (Sep 3), Chinese influencer Liu Jieming posted a video of himself complaining about a certain “ageless goddess”, whom he recently worked with on a live stream auction.

Although he did say her name at one point, he bleeped it out and added text over his mouth. Still, that didn’t stop netizens from trying to decipher who he was talking about (we’ll get back to this in a bit).

According to Jieming, the “ageless goddess” suddenly left the set halfway through the recording, stunning the entire crew.

He claimed that she later called him into the make-up room to "scold" him ‘cos she didn’t like how he kept saying “sanitary pads” as soon as the broadcast started… even though that was literally the product they were selling.

“Do you understand the rules? The way you speak is so ugly!” she allegedly said to Jieming.

She also had an issue with him referring to her as “ageless goddess” and sniped, “I have a name, it’s [bleeped]. You can call me by my name.”

Poor Liu Jieming

Although Jieming is aware that speaking out like this might cost him future jobs, he’s so fed up with such “diva behaviour” that he ended the clip by announcing, “I quit.”

Internet sleuths quickly got to work trying to determine who this difficult “ageless goddess” was based on two ‘clues’ in Jieming’s vlog.

Firstly, they noted that Jieming said that the “ageless goddess” speaks Cantonese, suggesting that she’s from Hongkong.

Secondly, despite his attempt to censor his mention of her name, eagle-eyed folks pointed out that based on the shape of his mouth, which could still be seen, it looks like he was saying “Wen Bixia”, Irene’s Chinese name.

To make matters even more damning for Irene, she had recently promoted her upcoming appearance in a live stream on her socials.

She’s in bear-y big trouble now

Since then, Irene has been taking a lot of heat from netizens, who berated her with comments such as: “I never expected your character to be so poor!”, “The ageless goddess doesn’t understand the rules”, “The ageless goddess is such a diva”, and “Next time, don’t try to earn money through live stream auctions”.

Irene has yet to respond to the unflattering accusations, but if you ask us, we think it’s unfair for her to be targeted like this based on an unverified story and some lip-reading.
