As petrol costs go up, Singapore’s taxi operators have already raised fares, making it more costly to flag one down.
Now, private-hire rides are set to also be more expensive on Gojek, as the company announced an increase to its starting fare by $0.50 or $0.80.

they dare to increase because they know ppl.will grumble but in the end will still take it cause its a spoilt society.COE prices go up but still buy cars.The govt.knows it too.

If Govt can increase tax oil companies can increase food can increase NTUC can charger per plastic $.010 for purchase below &20 Y gojek cannot ? Take Grab they have alot of listed companies funds to lose by not raising Abd drivers suffer although more rides but what for if petrol so high

Do you think by raising fares which shall help the drivers cope wifh rjsing costs? Not surprising that the pessagers will be likely lesser due to increase fares.

Will only face lesser and lesser bookings. Commuters will take MRT trains and buses or cheaper taxi, pte car hires if in a hurry!
